Sometimes I wonder - why still have manufacturing in Singapore - can't get young people to work in the electronics industry, compete with China&Vietnam, etc.
So, I think it is better to train Singaporeans to become waiters/waitresses, taxi drivers, bus drivers, security guards, etc and attract billionaires from all over the world (esp. India & China) to set up base in Singapore. Today's paper wrote about the smog in HK: should be good news for Spore. Big corporations will set up their HQ in spore; they will bring along their so-called 'talents' with them; then we teach their kids, drive them around, blah blah blah...
Seriously, we should make use of 2 of our assets - security, clean air. These are attractive to foreigners and use it for our benefit.
